Day 2 pics!

Mikalya Suzanne Harrington was born at 9:01 et on March 26th 2009! She weighed 7 lbs 3.5 oz and was 20 in long! Pictures will be uploaded to this site by tomorrow! Thank you all for all of the prayers you said for our family. We are truly blessed with the family and friends that we have! Thank you again.

Anytime

it is pretty intense now! She could be coming any time!

We are having some trouble right now with getting her out. She has now begun to have back labor and it is really intense. She is at 7 1/2 and we are still working hard. Continue to pray for this baby to be healthy and to come soon!

5 cm

The Dr. just came in and Katie is now dialated to 4 1/2 to 5 cm! The baby is about 50% effaced and still a little high, but the doc doesn't seem worried! Please keep the prayers coming! We have about 8 hours or so before we could have to make some tough decisions, so let's pray that she will decide to come real soon!

Pitocin

Well, nothing was really progressing well, so the Dr. started Katie on pitocin. Her contractions were getting a little bit closer together and more intense, but not enough to be safe for the baby. The risk of infection was getting a little too high so we made the decition to help move things along. Thank you again for the continued thoughts and prayers for our family!

At the Hospital

Sorry it has taken me so long to update this. We were having some trouble getting a connection in the hospital. Anyways... not a whole lot has happend since the last update. Katie's water broke at about 10:45 last night and we came to the hospital. Her contractions were still kinda irregular, but now they are pretty consistant at 3 min appart. Other than that, not much else is going on. Thanks again for all the prayers and I will check back in a few hours!

Baby Harrington Updates

This is going to be a blog for all of your family and friends while our little girl is being born. We understand how excited everyone is, but (if at all possible) we ask that you try to refrain from calling us on status updates and check up via this blog. I will be trying to update this as often as I can, but I am also Katie's coach so it might become difficult to continuously update while she is in labor. I want to thank all of you now for your thoughts and prayers throughout this entire pregnancy and during the birthing process. We love you all and can't wait to introduce all of you to the newest member of our family.

Well, it has been a few days since I have posted anything and that is because there hasn't been too much of a change to our status. Although, Katie's contractions have been a little bit more consistant and a little bit more intence. Last night, they were pretty regular but fluxuating intencities. Her contractions have been much closer together (about 5-7 min.) today and the intencity has been stronger so far. We just ask that you all keep praying for us through this exciting time. I will continue to update if there is any more progress.
